I have been a proud member of the Australian Stingers team for the past four years, during which I've achieved significant milestones in my career. Notably, I won gold at the World Intercontinental Cup and have been selected to compete in the last three World Aquatic Championships: 2022 in Budapest, 2023 in Fukuoka, and 2024 in Doha. One of my most cherished memories was playing in front of over 6,000 spectators during the quarter-finals in Hungary at my first World Championships—a thrilling experience that highlighted my journey in the sport. Additionally, I have had the privilege of coaching a junior team in the Brisbane Water Polo Competition for the past four years.
For the past four years, my primary goal has been to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. However, my dream was unexpectedly shattered in early May when I learned I had not been selected for the Olympic Team. Despite this devastating setback, I chose to persevere by accepting a role as an Olympic Games reserve, supporting my team’s preparation for the upcoming Games. This decision was incredibly challenging, as it meant weighing the option of returning home to my family and support network against the commitment of travelling with the team, and missing the chance to compete. I believe this experience has equipped me with the courage and credibility to mentor other athletes facing similar challenges or pressures during selection camps. I thrive on the opportunity to inspire and mentor athletes, helping them develop both in and out of the pool. What I love most about coaching is witnessing each individual's growth—seeing them overcome obstacles, achieve personal bests, and cultivate a deep love for the sport. I view coaching as more than just teaching technique; it’s about building confidence, resilience, and teamwork. I am particularly passionate about working with younger athletes, as I find it deeply rewarding to guide them through their developmental stages and support them in achieving their goals. My coaching philosophy centres on creating a supportive and positive environment where athletes can thrive, learn, and express themselves. In my coaching practice, I specialise in skill development and mental resilience. I emphasise foundational skills while incorporating position-specific techniques to help athletes refine their abilities and enhance their performance. My aim is to equip them with the tools necessary for success in their sport, while instilling a lifelong passion for fitness and teamwork. I am excited to continue my coaching journey, inspiring the next generation of athletes and contributing to their success in both sports and life.

Tenealle was absolutely amazing with my daughter - she was kind, personable and extremely knowledgeable. She did a fabulous job of tailoring the session to my daughter's skills, goals and development - overall it was an incredibly positive experience for my daughter, and I'll definitely book in more time in the future!
First waterpolo session for my 7 yo son and he loved it. Tenealle was great with him. I rarely see my son so excited about going back!
